ICAT 2023

29th International Conference
on
Information, Communication and Automation Technologies

11-14th June 2023, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Welcome to ICAT 2023

ICAT (International Conference on Information, Communication and Automation Technologies) is the annual conference organized by Faculty of Electrical Engineering Sarajevo (ETF Sarajevo) since early 70's, and it aims to create a forum for scientists and practicing engineers throughout the world to present the latest research findings and ideas in the areas of computer science, information technologies, control systems, communication technologies and power engineering.

The Conference is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Control Systems Society, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, and IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society and traditionally supported by IEEE Bosnia & Herzegovina Chapter.

The annual ICAT conference seeks papers describing research in the fields of interest of the ICAT community, and we invite original submissions of completed and unpublished work and not currently under review by any other journal/magazine/conference.

Full papers are (generally) no more than 6 pages long and typically report novel results firmly substantiated by experimentation, simulation, or analysis.

Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements.

Papers are single-blind reviewed (reviewers know the identity of authors, but authors don't know the identity of reviewers) by a technical program committee (TPC) and additional reviewers. Depending on the year and the program chairs, the TPC can have between 60-80 researchers. The paper acceptance ratio also varies year to year, from between 40-60%.

The meeting is 3 days, multiple-tracks. It is accompanied by tutorials and related workshops which vary each year. We also welcome proposals to organize hackathons & industrial sessions co-located with ICAT.

The conference occurs once a year in the early summer, with the location varying through Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and typically the venue is 4/5 star hotel at the city center.

Attendance is open, and registration fees are required for paper presentation/publication.

Keynote confirmation: Petar Veličković
Date: 2022-12-26

We have our forth Keynote confirmation: Petar Veličković from the DeepMind. Petar's research concerns geometric deep learning—devising neural network architectures that respect the invariances and symmetries in data (a topic he have co-written a proto-book about). For his contributions to the area, He's recognised as an ELLIS Scholar in the Geometric Deep Learning Program.

Conference Submissions System is active!!!
Date: 2022-11-15

We have activated Conference Submission System, and updated info at the Submissions section.

Keynote confirmation: David Abbink
Date: 2022-10-12

We have our third Keynote confirmation: Prof. David Abbink from the Delft University of Technology, Delft, Nederlands. Prof. Abbink's main research interest is the understanding of adaptations in human behavior when interacting with vehicles or tools, especially when these have some level of autonomy (i.e., become robotic systems).
